Richard:
January 14th, 1960, we found the lost Icelandic trawler: URANUS. The picture is of myself (center) Woody Huddleston, PPC (right) and ??? along with two Icelandic coast Guard Officers. The Navy let an Icelandic photographer into the darkroom when the PN said he couldn't get an image of the trawler because it was too dark. After two hours of rubbing the image on the negative with his fingers, they finally got the picture to come out. Pretty amazing when you consider that Iceland was pretty cozy with the Russians back then and sort of cool towards us.
